Kimberly Scott, Executive Director

Kimberly Scott, is a native Atlantan, and has a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She has a wide range of environmental and climate justice experiences along with grassroots organizing. Previous work experiences include being an Engineer/Project Director with the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management and City of Atlanta Dept of Aviation (Environmental Planner) but now she makes her living in commercial real estate. Kim is a community leader and has been a champion for change in inequities that impact the environment, housing, and community issues. 

Kim’s goals for Georgia WAND include deepening their relationships with current and potential partners while strengthening and growing the work of GA WAND by advocating for environmental social justice and racial equity for underserved and black and brown people around clean air, clean energy, clean water, land, nuclear and against eminent domain.

Janie Scott, Burke County Deputy Director

Janie Scott is a lifelong resident of Waynesboro, Burke County Georgia. She received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with an emphasis on Marketing from Augusta State University in Augusta, Georgia. Janie started working with Georgia WAND as a Burke County Community Organizer in the Spring of 2017. She has served in various roles and in 2021 was promoted to Deputy Director for Burke County. 
Janie believes self-determination is key for communities and facilitating community members empowering themselves with community-led solutions. Community members must be in the rooms where discussions are being had about their futures to speak for themselves in their own words.

Rennitta Stokes-Johnson, Community Education Lead

Rennitta Stokes-Johnson was born and raised in Burke County, GA. She attended Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, AL and has a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry and a Minor in Physics. It has been instilled in her since birth to serve. Her life has been dedicated to serving others, whether it was in her community, work environment, or helping the disadvantaged get the resources they need. Rennitta worked in the medical field for 22 years as an EEG Tech, she has taught school in both public, and private sectors. Currently she works as a Parent Resource Coordinator for the Burke County Public School System and in this role, she assists parents and children with their needs. Whether it is helping folks get educated on voting rights or getting them signed up to vote and taking them to the polls, she’s there. Where there is a need in her community, she is always ready to be a servant and enlighten those she is surrounded by.

Andrea Young Jones, Government Relations and Public Policy Director

Andrea Young Jones is happy to join the dynamic team of Georgia WAND as the Government Relations and Public Policy Director. Andrea has a Master of Public Administration degree with an emphasis in public policy.  She has served in Senior roles overseeing successful public policy and social justice campaigns promoting economic and environmental justice programs and antidiscrimination legislation. Andrea has served as an executive in local government, overseeing the regulatory enforcement of the fair housing law and as Regional Director for a nonprofit advocating for free and fair elections. She is passionate about improving the quality of life for all Georgia residents.

Andrea is a graduate of Hampton University and a native of Atlanta, GA. She is married to Roderick Jones, also a native of Atlanta, GA, and together they are raising 3 sons.



Cornnetta Anderson, Operations Manager

Cornnetta Anderson is a humanitarian and entrepreneur on the rise. She is the Farm Liaison at Aluma Farm, Americorps Vista Alumni, an activist against wrongful imprisonment, a long time member of Peoplestown Revitalization Corporation, and finds joy in educating her community on the importance of fresh affordable food access. Cornnetta has a Degree of Applied Science and Biology, and a Certification in Human Resources. She is also a poet and writer.

She is the owner of Odysseyofca LLC.

Cynthia Griffin Hill, Virtual Administrator

Attended school in the Burke County School System and graduated in 1987 from SGA High School.  Cynthia has worked working in Burke County for the past 26 years; 5 yrs as a Third Grade teacher, 6 yrs as a Fifth Grade teacher both positions were at Blakeney Elementary, 5 yrs as an Instructional Coordinator/Media Specialist at Burke County Alternative School, 3 years at Burke County High School as a Testing Coordinator, and for the past 7 years at SGA Elementary as the Assistant Principal. Cynthia education and training includes several degrees and certifications.  She has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) in Early Childhood Education and an Educational Specialist Degree (Ed. S.) in Teaching and Learning from Georgia Southern University.  Cynthia earned a Master of Science Degree (M.S.) in Educational Leadership and Instructional Technology from Troy State University.  Cynthia has also received a Reading Specialist and Teacher Support certification from CSRA-RESA along with an Educational Leadership certification. 

Cynthia currently resides in Waynesboro, Georgia with her husband of six years, Melvin X Hill.

She is the Bonus Mom to 6 amazing children.

RavenImani, Social Media Content Creator

RavenImani is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. Currently she attends The Illustrious Clark Atlanta University and majors in Theater Arts. RavenImani’s favorite musical is the classic Grease. Binge watching new tv shows and rewatching episodes of Glee with good food is her favorite past-time. She’s an “Atl girl” at heart, loves hot lemon pepper wet wings and living amongst all the history that Atlanta brings. She has plans to have her own film studio and win multiple Grammy’s.

RavenImani knows that life can be hard sometimes therefore a quote that she lives by is “ laugh now cry later” -Drake.
