Here at Georgia Wand we recognize that climate justice requires social justice and social justice requires climate justice. We recognize that environmental justice requires social justice and social justice requires environmental justice. How can you expect one to excel and or their community to excel when there are barriers put in place for them to do the opposite? We will show you just how!

So, let’s define social justice. Social Justice is the distribution of wealth, equity, access, participation, and rights in a society. Now we add Social Justice with racial equity, and we have a better climate and community for all black and brown communities alike. Social justice promotes equal economic, educational and workplace opportunities. It's also important to the safety and security of individuals and communities.

Did you know that environmental laws are affected by social justice? Let me show you how Environmental Laws (i.e., clean water and air, industrial waste disposal) Health Care Laws (i.e., insurance mandates and coverage eligibility) Education Laws (i.e., public school segregation and integration) Labor Laws (i.e., worker’s rights, occupational health, and safety). Justice equals fairness. Here at Georgia Wand we are active in the change of these areas by bringing awareness to the communities we serve, protesting, advocacy, education, volunteer events, and partnering with other organizations to bring about change.
