What can we do…
Thank you for joining us for Environmental Justice Day @ the Capitol on Friday February 16th. Your participation was vital in HB 1263 being introduced in the Georgia House of Representatives.
However, our advocacy efforts are not done. HB 1263 has been assigned to the House Natural Resources and Environment Committee and we need the Committee Chairwoman Representative Lynn Smith (70th - Newnan) to put it on the Committee Agenda. Please email Chairwoman Smith at lynn.smith@house.ga.gov and/or call her office (404) 656-7149 to request for a committee hearing on HB 1263.
We have included sample email/call language below. Please remember to be to-the-point and respectful.
Along with the Committee Chair, we need the Committee Members to also push for a hearing on HB 1263. Below is a list of the House Natural Resources and Environment committee members. Please also contact them and request for their support and a hearing on HB 1263.
