In partnership with the Savannah River Ecology Lab (SREL), Georgia WAND is co-hosting the next Community Talk in the Radionuclide Education, Monitoring, and Outreach Project (REMOP) series, Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Burke County Library. This month’s Community Talk will feature a panel conversation with representatives from the Department Of Energy-Savannah River (DOE-SR)/ Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), South Carolina Department Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC), and Southern Nuclear. Attendees will be able to hear additional information about the 2016 Environmental Report and ask questions.
This Community Talk will not be available on Facebook Live. Subsequent Community Talks will be broadcast so please like the Georgia WAND Facebook page. Residents may submit questions before and during the next Facebook Live streaming.
The talks will continue at the hours of 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m.
The REMOP (Radionuclide Education, Monitoring, and Outreach Project) community talks are a crucial part of Georgia WAND’s mission of working for environmental justice and monitoring activities around the Savannah River Site.
