Georgia WAND Education Fund, Inc. and Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Atlanta (AAAJ) hosted a Telephone Town Hall! Three experts  discussed research about the view of Korean Americans in Georgia about U.S. foreign policy with North Korea. Participants  asked questions of all the speakers. We will share results of recent research conducted with Georgia's Korean American Community with Georgia's U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, who sits on the Senate Foreign Relations committee.

The call featured:
Dr. Kathryn Weathersby:
Visiting Professor of History at Korea University, in Seoul, and co-founder and deputy director of the university's Korean War Archive. Kathryn holds a Ph.D. in Modern Russian history, with a second field in Modern East Asia, from Indiana University.
Paul Carroll: Program Director at Ploughshares Fund, Paul has a particular expertise on the Department of Energy's nuclear weapons infrastructure - where warheads are designed, built, tested, and stored. He also is an expert on North Korea's program and the challenges to limiting it, having traveled to the DPRK twice with nongovernmental delegations.
James Chan Woo: Communications and Outreach Associate at Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Atlanta. James worked for The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Category II organization, Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding in Seoul, South Korea; James speaks Korean.
Moderated by Lindsay Harper, Georgia WAND Program and Communications Manager.
