Next REMOP Community Talk October 16, 2017

Georgia WAND Education Fund, Inc., in collaboration with UGA’s Savannah River Ecology Lab (SREL), will be hosting

the 4th monthly education series, October’s “Community Talk” at the Burke County Library October 16, 2017.

This month’s theme is Environmental Monitoring Programs. Attendees will hear information about the basics of an environmental monitoring program, the multiple types and various components of monitoring programs, the history of monitoring the Burke County and surrounding areas, involvement of government agencies, the industries allowed to release effluent into the local water sources, and information about the data being collected for the Radiological Education Monitoring and Outreach Project (REMOP).
