Join a conversation with Mr. Shoji Kihara!

Shoji Flyer_RSVPJoin Georgia WAND in a conversation with Mr. Shoji Kihara, acclaimed author and activist from Japan. Mr. Kihara, who came to Georgia on the first anniversary of the Fukushima nuclear meltdown to address residents of Burke Co. where the first new nuclear reactors in the US in 30 years are under construction, is returning to Georgia. This is a great opportunity to hear about the current energy economy in Japan and the community response to the nuclear meltdown. We'll also discuss resistance to nuclear power in Georgia and how Georgia WAND is leading radiological environmental monitoring projects modeled after successful community programs throughout Japan after the meltdown. We're also thrilled to welcome Elizabeth and Steve Baldwin, Georgia WAND members and prominent peace and environmental activists in both the US and Japan back home to Georgia. Elizabeth and Steve, who helped organize the tour will also assist with translation.
