About Bobbie Paul

GA_WAND_Invitation.inddFor over 15 years, Bobbie Paul has supported the vision of WAND's founder - Dr. Helen Caldicott - to rid the world of nuclear weapons. Early on, she envisioned a statewide organization and heled expand Atlanta WAND to become Georgia WAND. Passion for a nuclear-free world, scientific knowledge, vibrant and accessible artistic vision and determination to work across lines of race and age are just some of the hallmarks of Bobbie's vision.

For the past three decades, while she and her husband, Rod, were raising their two sons, David and Andy, Bobbie watchdogged the Savannah River Site (SRS); led campaigns to restore funding form the Department of Energy for SRS environmental monitoring; and provided essential support for Atlanta’s social justice activism, community building and voter engagement. Bobbie has received recognition from environmental, community, theater, anti-war and education groups. Bobbie will always serve as an inspiration to Georgia WAND.
