Georgia WAND and Community Partner Event: Stand for Peace

Come out to Stand for Peace every Friday at 12 PM! Spread the message of peace at this weekly vigil, and then afterwards, join folks in the Colony Square Food Court for lunch, discussion, and fellowship.

Stand for Peace began over ten years ago to speak out against the Iraq War, and still continues every week to promote the message of ending wars and building peace.

One Billion Rising

On V-Day, February 14, over one billion people around the world will Rise for Justice in a global call to women survivors of violence and those who love them to gather safely in community outside places where they are entitled to justice. One Billion Rising for Justice is about rising for all survivors of gender-based violence and building a movement to end all violence.

Moral Monday

People participating are invited to ‘Wear RED for ED’ and meet with legislators from 10 am – 12 pm. Meet 2nd floor atrium south steps. Rally at the Capitol on Washington St 4-6 pm.

Georgia Water Coalition invites you to meet with elected officials on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 for Capitol Conservation Day. Capitol Conservation Day is an opportunity for all Georgian's to gather at the Capitol to tell our state representatives and senators that we value water for our families, economy, health, and future generations.

Georgia Tech: Making Killer Robots

What could be worse than being vaporized without warning by an unseen drone whose pilot is thousands of miles away? Research on autonomous drones is moving fast - including right here in our backyard at Georgia Tech. Kevin Caron of the Drone Task Force reports on these developments, based on his well-received presentation at the recent School of Americas Watch.
