Don’t Miss Georgia WAND’s Annual Fall Party

You're invited to a sunset at the Sweet's for the Annual Georgia WAND Fall Party! We will toast our shared win on the New START (Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty) vote in the Senate, our successful GOTV efforts in Gwinnett County, and give you the short and skinny on the legal intervention to halt construction of the two proposed nuclear reactors at Plant Vogtle in Shell Bluff, GA. You can also sign up to give people rides to the polls during Early Voting the week before the November 2nd election or volunteer for Election Day.

Don't miss the fun! Stop by Midge and John Sweet's residence, 220 Elizabeth Street, Atlanta on Sunday, October 17 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

This year's event will feature music by the Montley Crew, and old fashioned supper, organic bread and cookies Sweetwater 420 and apple cider, GOTV updates and victory toasts for New START.

Please RSVP to Courtney Hanson, courtney@wand.org or give her a call at 404 524-5999 so we’ll be sure to have enough food on hand.  Invite family and friends to come, too since this will be a celebratory gathering.

Don’t miss this chance to re-connect with Georgia WAND friends as we continue to build a progressive movement through Georgia!

NOTE: The AIDS Walk is occurring earlier in the day and some of us will be participating.  Come afterwards, come as you are, and come to eat and watch the sunset over Atlanta!
