Depleted Uranium – the USA’s favorite chemical weapon

Uranio flyerThe prize-winning documentary film, “Uranio 238,” explores the health problems associated with the United State’s use of depleted uranium (DU) weapons in the Gulf War, the Balkans and Iraq. The dangerous toxic and radioactive waste of these weapons has been blamed for thousands of cancers, birth defects and other problems in both civilian populations and U.S. troops. The film will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with Georgia WAND member Betsey Miklethun and Georgia WAND's Director of Organizing and Communication, Courtney Hanson, both also members of the  Georgia Peace and Justice Coalition/Atlanta.
