Alliance for Nuclear Accountability (ANA) Fall Meeting

The Alliance for Nuclear Accountability had their 2019 fall meeting at the Highlander Research and Education Center in New Market, TN, hosted by the Oak Ridge Environmental Peace  Alliance (OREPA) Center. Nuclear Harm Reduction and Climate Justice Coordinator Janie Hill-Scott and Executive Director Lindsay Harper attended as representatives bridging the rural-urban divide.

Members shared ideas and information on upcoming opportunities in 2020 to address the increased threats of nuclear threats, crumbling and expiring policy, and site-specific updates. These meetings also serve as an opportunity for national members to fellowship, inform each other, strategize, set the upcoming year’s agenda, and vote on open Board of Director positions. We’re happy to report that executive director Lindsay Harper was elected as a new member of the Board starting immediately!

Georgia WAND is happy to be able to contribute to the legacy of excellence ANA has and making sure that we are able to continue building on the critical gains already made and into the future.
