Georgia WAND and Community Partner Event: Stand for Peace
Come out to Stand for Peace every Friday at 12 PM! Spread the message of peace at this weekly vigil, and then afterwards, join folks in the Colony Square Food Court for lunch, discussion, and fellowship.
Stand for Peace began over ten years ago to speak out against the Iraq War, and still continues every week to promote the message of ending wars and building peace.

Community Partner Event: Protest for Farmworker Justice
Join farmworkers with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers for the culmination of their two-week Publix Truth Tour throughout the Southeast. Add your voice to the growing chorus urging Publix to join the Fai rFood Program, which is ushering in groundbreaking human rights advances in the fields. Publix's four years of refusal to even sit down face-to-face with farmworkers threatens the roll back these historic gains.

Community Partner Event: Screening 'Long Distance Revolutionary'
Before he was convicted of murdering a policeman in 1981 and sentence to die, Mumia Abu-jamal was a gifted journalist and brilliant writer. Now after more than 30 years in prison and despite attempts to silence him, Mumia is not only still alive but continuing to report, educate, provoke and inspire. This screening will kick off WRFG's Fall pledge drive.
